How much does balayage cost at Hair by Kimberly Wick?
Balayage at Hair by Kimberly Wick starts at $215 and takes about 3 hours, including a gloss, cut, and blow dry/style. New clients are asked for a $50 deposit to hold the appointment.
What's the difference between balayage and traditional highlights?
Balayage is hand-painted freehand, so the color is placed exactly where the light naturally hits your hair, and it grows out soft with no harsh line. Traditional foil highlights are more uniform and precise, which is better for all-over brightness or a bolder, more consistent pattern. Kimberly offers both. A free consultation is the easiest way to figure out which fits your hair and your maintenance schedule.
How long does balayage last before I need a touch-up?
Most balayage clients come back every 10 to 16 weeks, longer than the 6 to 8 week cycle a full foil highlight usually needs. Because the color is painted to grow out with your natural root, the regrowth line stays soft instead of looking like an obvious line of demarcation.

Do you require a deposit to book?
New clients booking a balayage service are asked for a $50 deposit to hold the appointment, which goes toward the total cost of the service. Other services may have their own deposit or cancellation policy set at the time of booking.

What are your hours?
Tuesday through Thursday, 10am–6:30pm, and Friday–Saturday, 10am–3pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.
How often should I get a root touch up?
For most all-over color, every 5 to 7 weeks keeps your roots from becoming too noticeable. If you're doing balayage instead, you can usually stretch to 10 to 16 weeks between visits since the color is designed to grow out gradually.
